# Short Link QR Code Generator

A short link keeps the QR pattern simple, so the code scans well on small labels, cards and tags. The short link is editable, so you can change where it goes after printing.

## How a short link QR code works

### Create the short link

Enter the destination and choose a short slug, or connect your own domain.

### Print the code

Download an SVG, EPS or PNG file for business cards, packaging, small labels or print ads.

### Edit the destination when needed

Change the target in the dashboard. The printed code and the short link stay the same.

## Why short links make better QR codes

A short address means fewer squares in the code, and fewer squares means each one is larger. Larger squares scan more reliably on small labels, curved packaging and rough print. If the code is going on something the size of a thumbnail, start with a short link.

## Using your own domain

You can connect your own branded domain so the short link carries your name. A branded short link is easier to trust when someone reads it under the code.

## Where short link codes get used

- Business cards and name badges
- Small product labels and equipment tags
- Packaging with little spare space
- Print ads where the code has to be small
